Hey Rajeswar,
I wholeheartedly appreciate ur article on meatless way of life profusely quoting many scriptures.
The vEdas did not implement any rigid rules for any one any where.
In one instence it said "samvatsaram munjam mAyayitwA...etc.,"
This is all intended for the brAhmins who always mend their living according to the scriptures. The mantra is asking them all to avoid non-vegetarian foods for one year and observe the difference. If they feel any enlightenment in their wisdom they may continue it for the rest of his life.
If they dont find any betterment, he may reverse back to his eating non-vegetarians.
The brahmins who never touch non-vegeterian food or intoxicates
should compulsorily eat the meat of the sacrificed animal in a yag~na and also drink the sOma wine after the yag~na as prasAdam.
